Armed robbers invade three communities in Ibadan

Armed robbers on Tuesday morning invaded three communities in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.


The robbers were said to have carted away money, phones, jewellery, and other items.


The affected communities include Alaja, Seriki, and Ogogo on the new Ibadan/Oyo Expressway in the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state.


The Punch reports that the incident happened around 3 a.m.


One of the community leaders, Raji Kazeem, who confirmed the incident, said, “The armed robbers came in the middle of the night and robbed some houses. That’s why you saw landlords and landladies discussing in different groups.”


The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, is yet to confirm the incident as of the time of this report
