Tinubu to Atiku: Give Up Your Presidential Dream, Nigeria is Not Doomed.

President Bola Tinubu has slammed the 2023 PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for his pessimistic view of Nigeria’s future after the Supreme Court dismissed his appeals.

Tinubu said Atiku should abandon his presidential dream, which he said was the only thing doomed in Nigeria.

In a statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu said Nigeria was on the right track to fulfill its potential as one of the world’s most respected and successful nations under his leadership.

He said Atiku’s gloomy submission on Nigeria’s democracy was false and misleading.

Tinubu said Nigeria’s democracy was thriving and blossoming, as evidenced by the diversity and plurality of the parties represented in the National Assembly, unlike in the past when only two parties dominated.

He said votes counted in Nigeria and no amount of distortion by Atiku and his partner, Peter Obi, could undermine the progress of the electoral process, which had been praised by local and international observers.

Tinubu advised Atiku to end his unprofitable bid for the presidency, which he said had lasted for over three decades without success. He said Atiku should stop engaging in any activity that would pollute the political atmosphere and national harmony.

“We want to tell Alhaji Atiku this: Nigeria is not doomed. It is only Atiku’s inordinate ambition to be President that is doomed. Nigeria is moving forward and set to achieve its manifest destiny as one of the most respected and successful nations of the world under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Contrary to Atiku’s gloomy submission on our democracy, we are excited to tell the world that our democracy is thriving and blossoming. It is the reason, for the first time since 1999, the character of our National Assembly and its outlook reflects the diversity and plurality of the choices and preferences of voters as a rainbow coalition of different parties, as opposed to the practice in the past where just two parties dominated the national parliament.
