Oyetola commiserates with his aide, Sunday Akere over mother's death

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has commiserated with his former Political Adviser, Oluomo Sunday Akere, over the death of his mother, late Mrs Deborah Wuraola Akere.

The matriarch of Akere's dynasty died in the early hours of today at the age of 91.

Oyetola, in a statement by his media aide, Ismail Omipidan, described the death of the nonagenarian as a collosal loss to Akere's dynasty, the ancient town of Igbajo and her loved ones.

The Minister extolled the rare virtues of the deceased, saying she was a compassionate being, an epitome of womanhood, caring and loving, and above all, an industrious woman, whose entire life was spent to serve her creator, raise her children and impact greatly in humanity.

"Late Deborah Wuraola Akere (Nee Fasoro) was indeed a mother whose sense of compassion and empathy about the welfare and wellbeing of people, particularly her children, relations and those around her, cannot be overemphasized. Being a devout Christian and business woman, Mama carved a niche for herself. She was known for her truthfulness, selflessness, integrity and dignity as one of the market women leaders.

"Death is inevitable, no doubt. But at 91, we never wanted her dead. However, we take solace in the fact that, Mama lived a life that we are all proud of.

"We thank God for granting her longevity of life before her departure and we pray God to grant her soul eternal rest. May God give the  children the fortitude and courage to bear the irreplaceable loss", Oyetola added.
