OSUN APC TO ADELEKE: You’re Running Your Administration By Impulse Because Of Incompetence

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress(APC) has accused the state Governor Ademola Adeleke of running his administration by impulse instead of laid down programmes which are grossly detrimental to the even development of the state.

According to the Osun State chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, today, it is only during the military dispensation that the government was been haphazardly run the way Governor Adeleke is handling the governance of the state.

Lawal stated that it was pathetic that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led administration in the state has always been waiting to be revved by the opposition before it could do a mere resemblance of what is right in the administration of the state.

The state party chairman also observed that the ruling government has deliberately developed a deaf ear to the myriads of complaints and anomalies that bedevilled the Adeleke -led administration in so many verifiable areas of human development and welfarism.

Lawal wondered why Governor Adeleke has refused to hearken to the voices of the people of the state irrespective of their political leanings by distributing to all and sundry the Federal Government’s fuel subsidy palliatives in grains, rice and cash.

He stated that is it the government that has been needlessly warehousing the Federal Government’s palliatives that would consider it necessary and expedient to supplement with the state’s own?

The Osun State APC chairman enjoined the people of the state to continue to endure the effects of mis-governance by Adeleke and his co-travellers as this period is just a passing phase in the history of the state which crass ignorance and lack of competence at the level of the government has retarded the development of the state by about two decades.

Lawal noted further that part of the indelible hallmark of the Adeleke administration has been that of promise and fail.

He said he could not see any reason why the governor could not keep to his promise of holding state executive meetings on Wednesdays as what are now in vogue in Osun State today are the holding of make-believe state executive meetings without the creation of a pedestal for the commissioners and special advisers to engage in robust sessions of meetings on how to move the state forward.

“What happens to ‘Ipade Imole’ which Governor Adeleke promised to be holding monthly at the inception of his administration? Why is it that Adeleke had held only one ‘Ipade Imole’ in 16 months in the life of his administration?

“Governance is not a tea party and it is for serious-minded people. Governor Adeleke hasn’t shown his preparedness to give the state a qualitative governance as can be attested to in his actions and inactions in the office.

“Governor Adeleke is only being motivated by the glamour of office rather than real service to the people which is the reason almost all the political functionaries in the state have been scrambling for their own share of the state cake to the detriment of the generality of the people of the state.
