Ramadan: Omowaiye Hosts Muslims Faithful For Annual Iftar
In his quest to continually promote religious harmony among his constituents, Engr Remi Omowaiye, on Monday joined Muslim faithful for his daily Iftar programme at Ilesa Central Mosque tagged IleriOluwa Iftar.
Omowaiye, who is a Christian of the Redeemed Christian Church extraction, has over the last 4 years sponsored IleriOluwa Iftar programme in Ilesa in order to encourage islamic faithful in the ancient town to live life worthy of emulation according to the teachings of the Holy Qu'ran.
The current Executive Director (Project Implementation ) Federal Housing Authority, who is also a former Commissioner for Works and Transport in Osun State, has a history of identifying with Islam, having funded the massive renovation of the Ilesa Central Mosque and the biggest mosque in the state, the Central Mosque at Ede.
He was joined at the Iftar programme by the former member representing Atakumosa East/Atakumosa West in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Festus Babatunde Komolafe (BFK), Alhaji Agbeti , Hon. Abayomi Ojo, former Secretary of Ilesa West Local Government, Prince Taiwo Ogunmokun and many others.
