SCORES OF PDP MEMBERS DEFECT TO APC IN IJESA SOUTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

Ijesa South Federal Constituency's factional members of the People's Democratic Party, (PDP) led by a former governorship aspirant, Dotun Babayemi on Thursday defected to All Progressives Congress (APC)
The members from all the local government area of Ijesa South were by Comrade Victor Ashaolu, a PDP leader from Ilesa East local government.
Notable APC leaders led by Leader Elder Kunle Odeyemi, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye , Hon. Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni FMHR, Local Government party Chairmen, Women Leaders and many APC stalwarts gathered at the Fadahunsi Avenue residence of Chief Kunle Odeyemi, the Ijesaland APC leader to receive the new intakes into the party.

Ijesa South Federal Constituency consists of Ilesa West, Ilesa East, Atakumosa West and Atakumosa East local government areas.

Recall that Omooba Dotun Babayemi recently launched a restructuring movement tagged “Atunto” for a better dividend of democracy for Osun people come 2026, thus, he charged the people of Osun State and his members of his faction in the PDP to re-strategise towards making Osun state a better place to live.

The failure of the current PDP administration under the watch of Senator Ademola Adeleke to meet the needs of the populace informed their defection.

Also, all members of the Labour Party of Ijesa South Federal Constituency are defecting to the APC.
