EX-SUBEB BOSS CONDOLES IJESA SONS AND DAUGHTERS, SAYS LATE OWA OBOKUN PUT IJESALAND ON GLOBAL MAP
A two-time House of Representatives member from Ijesa South Federal Constituency, and former Chairman Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Hon Engineer Israel Ajibola Famurewa, has rued the demise of the paramount ruler of Ijesaland, Oba Dr Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran.
This follows the official announcement of his demise from the palace by the Elders of Ijesaland.
แปba Aromolaran reportedly joined his ancestors in the late hours of Wednesday and the elders has since released an official statement on the demise of the renowned monarch.
Honourable Ajibola Famurewa described the late monarch as a thorough breed Ijesa man both flesh and blood who stood for the progress and development of Ijesaland and his subjects.
He said late Oba Aromolaran the second in his forty-two years reign strived to put his kingdom on the global map adding that Ijesaland witnessed tremendous progress during his reign.
Honourable Famurewa said the monarch who was a scholar of repute did all within his powers to make Ijesaland a force to reckon with in the comity of ancient towns in the nation and earned it a pride of place.
He prayed the Almighty to give the Ijesa elders, sons and daughters as well as residents the fortitude to bear the loss of the revered monarch at this critical time.
Honourable Ajibola Famurewa also urged indigenes and residents to be law abiding and respect all traditional pronouncements that will be made by the Ijesa elders sequel to the demise of the paramount ruler of Ijesaland.
