Ahead of Ondo State’s governorship election, three candidates from the Accord Party, National Rescue Movement (NRM), and African Democratic Congress (ADC) have withdrawn from the race to endorse Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of the APC.
Dr. Ajibola Falaye, Accord Party candidate, announced the endorsement on behalf of the three candidates, praising Governor Aiyedatiwa’s record on security, infrastructure, and inclusive governance. He cited the governor’s dedication to public service and the state’s progress under his leadership.
Falaye stated that they share the governor's vision for progress and are confident in his ability to lead Ondo forward. The NRM’s Hon. Jenyo Ataunoko and ADC’s Mr. Olaide Rasheed Ibrahim corroborated the facts railed out by emphasizing their support for continuity.
Joining the Governor to receive the three candidates was the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Father Hyacinth Alia and the APC Campaign Director, Hon. Abiola Makinde amongst others.
In his remarks, Governor Aiyedatiwa warmly welcomed the gesture and expressed profound gratitude, calling the endorsement a gesture of goodwill and statesmanship. He urged supporters to unite and vote for the APC on Saturday.
