𝕆𝕊𝕌ℕ 2026 : 𝔸𝕊𝕀𝕎𝔸𝕁𝕌 𝕄𝕌ℕ𝕀ℝ𝕌𝔻𝔼𝔼ℕ 𝔹𝕆𝕃𝔸 𝕆𝕐𝔼𝔹𝔸𝕄𝕀𝕁𝕀 𝔻𝔼ℂ𝕃𝔸ℝ𝔼𝕊 𝔾𝕌𝔹𝔼ℝ 𝔸𝕄𝔹𝕀𝕋𝕀𝕆ℕ


The Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly called AMBO, today at the APC party secretariat declared his intention to run for governorship in Osun State in 2026.
Welcomed by excited party faithful and stakeholders, Oyebamiji said he joined politics some years ago because of his desire to render service to humanity, promising that when elected in 2026, he would not disappoint the good people of the state who earnestly yearn for good and progressive governance.
He  further  stated “Yes, I am from the West Senatorial District and for equity, justice and fairness, we are appealing to our leaders to look into the West senatorial district. However, be it West, Central or East, I'm competent to become the next governor of Osun State. I have been in the government for almost 15 years and I have worked with the highest leadership of the party. For over 20 years, I worked in the structured private sector, attaining senior management position. I have what it takes to run a good government if I am given the opportunity.”
Some of the political heavyweights in attendance at the declaration were the first Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Wale Afolabi; former federal legislator and Director General of Iyiola Omisore Governorship Campaign in 2018, Hon. Bade Falade; National Population Commission National Commissioner, Dr Amidu Tadese; former Osun State Head of Service, Dr Festus Olowogboyega; Senior Special Assistant (Protocol) to President Tinubu, Ambassador Issah Niniola; immediate former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Timothy Owoeye who led the former state legislators to the event; former Commissioner for Information in the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Oluomo Sunday Akere; former Special Adviser on Local Government Affairs, Hon. Rasak Adeosun; former PDP governorship aspirant, Hon. Kayode Oduoye ( Superkay); former House of Representatives member, HON. Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni, Former DG of Amotekun Comrade Amitolu Shittu, Chief Moshood Adekunle Oluawo,  former and current local government Chairmen and a host of other party Leaders ,  stakeholders and supporters who came to cheer AMBO, the man described as the best mind for the job.
