PRESS STATEMENT. (20TH MAY, 2025).
The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has welcomed the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Rt Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, to Osun State for the inaugural public lecture at the state owned university, UNIOSUN, using the time to correct the remarks credited to him as a compliment for Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration.
It was reported by the Osun State government today that the darling former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Gbajabiamila, remarked that Governor Adeleke is doing a 'phenomenal job' in the state.
We would like to assert that the CoS's remark stating that Governor Adeleke is doing a 'phenomenal job' in the state was borne out of Hon Gbajabiamila's insufficient information on the true position of governance in Osun State.
Information available to us confirms that the bumbling government of Senator Ademola Adeleke, in its usual characteristics to mislead its guest to earn undeserving honour, had kept the president's aide away from meeting critical stakeholders who would have appropriately laid before the visiting politician the true state of development in the state.
If the stakeholders had been allowed to interact with the Chief of Staff, we are confident the blunt Gbajabiamila would have called Governor Ademola Adeleke what he really is: a big and fantastic failure.
A session with Osun stakeholders would have offered the governor's guest from the Presidency the opportunity to know that almost three years after Governor Adeleke sacked 1,500 teachers, several hundreds of health workers and 20,000 OYES cadets employed by his predecessor, the dancing-governor has failed to replace them, thus creating chaos in key economic sectors in the state.
The stories are all over the town how distraught parents, whose children's education risked compromise on account of lack of teachers in our schools, cried out for assistance on media.
A popular media outfit in the state, *Rave FM*, ran unfettered reports and documentaries of how education has become shambles and deteriorating under the propagandist government of Adeleke.
We humbly invite the amiable Chief of Staff to read newspapers of two days ago where the media was engrossed with the report of failed roads constructed by the administration of Governor Adeleke.
The road projects, particularly the one at Aduragbemi area of Ido-Osun, Egbedore Local Government, ostensibly given to incompetent cronies of the governor, were washed away by rainfall after the second day of its substandard construction/rehabilitation.
Would it be correct to adjudge a governor who spent N55 billion to eat, drink and maintain his expensive life style, but could not employ a single teacher into the public primary and secondary schools in almost three years, after swindling the job applicants with their hard-earned money in the name of application fees, as doing a 'phenomenal job'?
Is it possible for a governor who is doing a 'phenomenal job' to shut down all the local government council areas in the state for over three months running over his refusal to have respect for the rule of law in the case of the reinstated APC council chairmen and councillors?
A governor who brazenly insults the judiciary and cherry picks the rulings of the court can not be said to be phenomenal.
We wish our loving Rt Hon. Gbajabiamila a safe journey back to Abuja.

Mogaji KOLA OLABISI, Osun State APC Director of Media and Information.
