𝗢𝘀𝘂𝗻 𝗣𝗗𝗣 𝗘𝘅-𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆, 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗣𝗖
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Iree, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State formally received into its fold the former state Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barrister Yinka Adeojo and crowd of his supporters.
At the general meeting of the party in Iree today, the former PDP scribe said, his defection was sequel to the high-handedness and self-centeredness of the PDP leadership and government of the state.
The defectors were received into the party by the Chairman of APC Elders Caucus, Hon Osuolale Bello and the former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke (BANIK).
Adeojo said the major assignments before him and his followers was to work in unison with existing member of the APC and chased PDP out of government in 2026, saying, they are ready to deploy the winning strategy at their disposal in fabour of the APC.
He urged members and leaders of the party to be united and work hard through massive mobilisation of voters to dislodge the Ademola Adeleke's government in the state.
Earlier, Prince BANIK who pronounced that Governor Adeleke would be massively voted out of government in 2026, urged members of the party not to discriminate.
He charged members to receive the defectors with open hand and determination to work together for the purpose of taking over governance of the state legitimately in 2026.
Earlier, Hon. Bello had welcomed the defectors into the APC fold and declared that since the leaders of the two major political party in the area are now united, the PDP is dead in Iree.
Among the leaders of the party at the meeting, were the APC Chairman in Boripe Local Government, Mr Mufutau Okongo; APC Chairman in Boripe North, Alhaji Hammed Omoniyi; Chairman Boripe Local Government, Hon Sikiru Odebunmi; Mr Mike Omolaja and many others.
