Hon.Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni Visits INEC Office in Ilesa, Urges Citizens to Fulfill Civic Duty
Hon. Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni has reiterated his commitment to democratic values and citizen participation by paying a visit to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Ilesa. The visit was aimed at obtaining first-hand information on the progress of the ongoing voter registration exercise and to encourage residents who had come out for biometric capturing.
During the visit, Hon. L B Ayeni commended the efforts of INEC officials for their dedication to ensuring a smooth and transparent process. He also took the opportunity to interact with citizens present, acknowledging their patience and determination to complete the exercise.
Speaking further, Hon. L B Ayeni emphasized that active participation in elections is not just a right but a civic responsibility that every Nigerian must take seriously. He reminded eligible voters that registering and turning out to vote are essential steps in shaping the future of the nation and strengthening democratic governance.
He encouraged residents of Ilesa and beyond to take advantage of the registration period.
