AMBO ILESA WEST TEAM HOLDS ROAD SHOW TO BOOST VOTER REGISTRATION AWARENESS
The Ilesa West Local Government Advocacy Team of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), a leading contender in the forthcoming Osun governorship election slated for August 8, 2026, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, embarked on a road show to create awareness on the ongoing 2025 Nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The sensitization tour covered major streets across wards in the local government area, where the team urged all eligible residents to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the CVR to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The campaign convoy, made up of buses mounted with public address systems and members using hand-held megaphones, drew attention to the fact that the voter’s card is not only essential for participating in elections, but also a vital tool for influencing political leadership and driving sustainable development.
Speaking during the exercise, the Ilesa West Coordinator of AMBO, Hon.Barr.Femi Onigbogi and Hon. Oladele Risikat encouraged residents who are eligible but yet to be captured to come forward and fulfil their civic responsibility.
He noted that the strength of any democracy lies in the active participation of its citizens, stressing that the voter’s card remains the most effective instrument for shaping the future of governance in the state.
