*Stop Attacking Tinubu Over LG, Other Matters, *Osun APC Warns Adeleke*.

PRESS STATEMENT.                              (31ST OCTOBER, 2025).

*• Says Federal Government Deserves Credit For Adeleke’s Claimed Achievements In Education, Health*

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cautioned the state Governor Ademola Adeleke to stop attacking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his political woes, stating that he is the architect of his own political misfortunes.

It is observed that it has become the stock-in-trade for the Osun State satellite governor to unjustifiably hold the nation's President responsible for his inability to perform his statutory duties as the governor of the state.

One of such events was a two-day South-West stakeholders' dialogue organised by the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria Commission in Akure, Ondo State, where Adeleke, on Thursday, accused the Federal Government of undermining the Constitution by withholding local government funds belonging to the state despite what he called a subsisting court order.

Adeleke alleged that since the beginning of the year, the Federal Government had seized Osun’s local government allocation and enabled partisan interference in state and local governance.

Adeleke also accused President Tinubu of marginalizing Osun State in federal dealings.

According to Adeleke: "Partisan consideration has become the yardstick for federal interactions with Osun, a development that threatens intergovernmental harmony."

It is quite disheartening how Governor Adeleke is maliciously disparaging the name of the President.

*How Did Tinubu Offend Adeleke?*

Was it because the number one citizen of the country refused to bend the rules of law for him over the local government allocation which the Court of Appeal on 10th February, 2025, ruled should be given to the APC-led chairmen and councillors?

Or because the President, having listened to the plights and cries of his party men and women in Osun State and across the country, declined the 'Oluwole' defection of Adeleke to APC in order not to contaminate the party with his cluelessness, awful performance in office and lack of personal and financial discipline?

Adeleke should tell the world how Osun State has been marginalized by the Tinubu-led government?

Was there any time Osun State was left out when federal benefits were distributed to states?

In 2024, for instance, the state government estimated to receive N99 billion from the federal allocations but the state later received N229 billion, representing 131% increase, from the Tinubu government.

Since 2023, the Tinubu-led Federal Government has devoted no less than N10 billion on education and health programmes of the Adeleke government. This sum is different from another N10 billion committed to funding the zonal intervention projects ( also known as constituency projects) of the National Assembly members from Osun State.

The Tinubu government through TETFUND provided science/engineering laboratory and workshop equipment worth N200 million to Osun State University, Osogbo. TETFUND also constructed and furnished a 500-seat capacity lecture theatre worth N500 million at Osun State University, Osogbo.

The Federal Government through TETFUND equally constructed a 300 capacity lecture hall worth N370 million at the state College of Education in Ila -Orangun.

The Tinubu-led Federal Government again constructed and furnished lecture halls and studio worth N300 million for the students of Mass Communication  at the state College of Technology, Esa-Oke. Just as it provided 160Nr solar street lights as well as lecture theatres worth N400 million at the University of Ilesa.

In equal breath, the Tinubu government through the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) had constructed new buildings and built over 100,000 chairs and tables, worth N5 billion, for primary and JS school students in Osun State.

Governor Adeleke should disclose to the world if it is not the Federal Government which is funding his government Osun Health Insurance ( OHIS), receiving nothing less than N3 billion in support and grants in the last three years of his administration?

When the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, inaugurated her pet project, the Alternative High School for Girls, a facility for academic and vocational education for young mothers, was Osun State not one of the first beneficiaries?

How has the project fared since its inauguration? Has the school not been abandoned by the state government on the altar of mundane and reckless politics of Governor Adeleke?

We, as a party, know where Governor Adeleke is coming from as he is used to accomplishing his aspirations by someone high up bending the rules for him which has now become an impossible utopia for him under the forward-looking administration of President Tinubu.

It is expedient for Governor Adeleke to inspect himself if out of the 36 state governors in Nigeria today, he is the only one having issues with President Tinubu as espoused in the  tantrums thrown in Akure yesterday.

It is either something is fundamentally wrong with Governor Adeleke in government or he is displaying his inferiority complex, inefficiency and non-readiness for the  job he applied for, a development which has made him an outcast among serious governors.

Governor Adeleke should stop blaming President Tinubu for his obvious lapses in the government. Rather than blaming the President, he should own up for his failure.

He should explain why despite huge allocations received by his administration, good governance is lacking and many citizens are experiencing deprivations in virtually all facets of their life.

A governor who is forcing poor and struggling parents to pay as much as N1.5 million per session in UNILESA and UNIOSUN, spending N13 billion to purchase luxury cars for unproductive politicians while schools and public hospitals are terribly short staffed, should never blame anyone for how hopeless his government has become: the failure is self-induced.
