CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM HONOURABLE LAWRENCE BABATUNDE AYENI, FMHR

Honourable Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni, FMHR, join countless voices across Osun State and the All Progressives Congress (APC) family in mourning the passing of our highly respected leader, Oba Adegboyega Famodun, Owa of Igbajoland — a father, a statesman of great honour, and our party’s former Chairman.

Oba Famodun was far more than a political figure; he was a beacon of courage, a guardian of party unity, and a leader whose life was defined by integrity, loyalty, and uncommon dedication to the development of our dear state. His contributions to the political stability and progress of Osun State remain immeasurable, and his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us for generations.

His transition is a profound loss not only to the Famodun family but to the entire Osun APC structure and the people he served so faithfully. Yet, in our grief, we find comfort in the noble life he lived — a life marked by service, humility, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the public good. We are confident that his soul has found peaceful rest in the presence of the Almighty.

I pray that God, in His boundless mercy, grants his soul eternal repose and comforts his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and the entire family. May the Lord grant them strength and grace during this difficult time.

Igbajo and the entire Osun State have indeed lost a father, a born leader, a fortress, and a pillar of sustainable growth in Igbajoland, the APC, and our state at large. His departure creates a void that will be deeply felt, but his towering legacy compels us to remain united, uphold the values he championed, and continue the work of building a stronger, more prosperous Osun State in his honour.

May his memory be a blessing and a guiding light to us all.
