Osun APC Begins Reconciliation Exercise Over Guber Pry Election Next Week
PRESS STATEMENT. (18TH DECEMBER, 2025).
Sequel to the successful conduct of its governorship primary election on the 13th of December, 2025, the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded an arrangement for the reconciliation of some of the disenchanted members of the party over the seamless exercise.
According to a statement issued by the state spokesman of the party, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, today, the state chairman of the party, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, disclosed that the reconciliation exercise of the party would hold unfailingly next week.
Lawal explained that it was his unforeseen official working visit to Abuja that has prevented the reconciliation exercise to hold before now.
He disclosed further that the reconciliation meeting with whoever may be boiling over the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji as the governorship candidate of the party would be handled by the State Working Committee(SWC) of the party.
Lawal explained further that the reconciliation exercise would not be done by any individual member of the party but the state leadership of the party.
He commended the delegates of the party over their peaceful conduct during the successful conduct of the consensus governorship primary election in Osogbo under the chairmanship of the Edo State Governor Monday Opabholo last Saturday.
The state party chairman explained further that "the strength of the party has been the continuous unity of its members which has recorded so many successes for it despite the fact that we are in the opposition in the state".
Lawal charged the members of the party not to relent in their efforts within the constitutional purview to ensure that "we chase out the state Governor Ademola Adeleke out of the Bola Ige House through our votes on the 8th of August, 2026".
