DUALIZATION OF EREJA TO OMI-ALADIYE ROAD

Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, states that efforts are underway for the dualization of the Ilesa roundabout-Omialadiye Osogbo road and the construction of additional shopping complexes to alleviate congestion at the Roundabout-Adeti and Itakogun axis of the road.

Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup made this disclosure at his palace while inaugurating a seven-man Ijesa Hall of Fame Committee, chaired by Chief Akin Akinola, the pioneering Managing Director of International Brewery PLC, Ilesa.

The paramount ruler stated that the first phase of the project will culminate at Idi Iroko, Itakogun, emphasizing that he would collaborate with the government through legitimate channels to bring the proposal to fruition.
Explaining the rationale behind the hall of fame initiative, the first class traditional ruler predicated his action on the need to honor individuals who have contributed significantly to the economic growth of Ijesaland through the establishment of industries and higher institutions that continue to function, thereby encouraging the younger generation to emulate their achievements.


He added that the idea is to diversify the annual festivities in Ijesaland, with a view to creating more homecoming events for the sons and daughters of Ijesaland, and ensuring rapid development.
