Kayode Sowade Congratulates Former Minister, Prof. Isaac Adewole, On Appointment As Ambassador To Canada; Thanks PBAT And Oyetola For Rewarding Excellence, Patriotism
The Executive Director, Engineering Services at the Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA) and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Modakeke, Hon. Kayode Sowade, has congratulated former Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Folorunso Adewole, on his appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Canada.
In a statement, Sowade described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Prof. Adewole’s remarkable contributions to national development through public service, academia, and leadership in the health sector.
Sowade noted that he had the privilege of working closely with Prof. Adewole while serving on the Board of the University of Osun Teaching Hospital, during the period the former Minister was the Chairman of the Board.
According to him, Prof. Adewole demonstrated exceptional leadership, integrity, and commitment to institutional growth during his tenure, qualities he said would be invaluable in his new diplomatic assignment.
“Having served with Prof. Adewole on the board of the University of Osun Teaching Hospital when he was the Chairman, I can attest to his dedication, depth of knowledge, and passion for service. His appointment is not only well deserved but also a testament to his outstanding track record in public service,” Sowade stated.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) for appointing a seasoned administrator and globally respected scholar, noting that the decision reflects the administration’s commitment to rewarding competence, patriotism, and excellence.
Sowade also appreciated the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, for his continued support in promoting capable individuals who have demonstrated commitment to national development.
He expressed confidence that Prof. Adewole would deploy his vast experience and international exposure to strengthen diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Canada, while effectively representing the country’s interests.
Sowade prayed for wisdom, strength, and a successful tenure for the former minister as he undertakes the important responsibility of representing Nigeria abroad.
