No Division in APC, No 2027 List --- AMBO Media Accuses Osun Govt of Using Falsehood to Cover Governance Failures• Says APC United, Resolute to Defeat Adeleke August 15

The attention of the Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) Media Fronts has been drawn to yet another spurious, baseless and unfounded allegation being peddled by the increasingly desperate administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, claiming that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate for the August 15 election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), have already selected candidates for the 2027 National and State Assembly elections at a so-called “secret meeting” held in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

We state unequivocally that this claim is a fabrication of the highest order. There was no such meeting in Mecca or anywhere else where discussions or decisions were taken regarding party flagbearers for the 2027 elections. The allegation exists only in the imagination of a government clearly rattled by its dwindling public support and mounting accountability questions.
For the avoidance of doubt, leaders and stakeholders of the APC remain united and focused on a singular objective: to democratically send the bumbling administration of Governor Adeleke out of office on August 15. All leaders of the party are working in harmony, bound by a shared commitment to rescue Osun State from misrule and restore purposeful governance.

The events and experiences leading to the APC governorship primary, where Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) emerged in strict compliance with the party’s constitution and democratic principles, are now firmly in the past. Today, the party stands united. All members, regardless of prior differences or reservations, have closed ranks and are collectively mobilizing for victory in the forthcoming election.

It is evident that the outgoing administration in Osun has resorted to peddling falsehoods as a diversionary tactic to evade the growing number of critical questions being asked by the people of Osun State regarding its glaring mismanagement of public resources. No amount of propaganda can blur the reality that citizens now view this government as a gang of financial buccaneers and economic parasites, feasting on the commonwealth at the expense of the people’s welfare.

Osun people are outraged that while families struggle under harsh economic conditions, the state-owned universities---UNIOSUN and UNILESA---are charging fees as high as N1.5 million. This is happening in a state where a staggering N92 billion has been expended on the Office of the Governor within just three years.
Even more troubling is the fact that all civilian and military administrations from the creation of Osun State in 1991 up to November 2022, when former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola left office, did not cumulatively spend up to a quarter of what the current governor has used to maintain his “stomach infrastructure” in just three years.

There is also growing concern among citizens that resources meant to improve public welfare are being diverted for personal and opaque uses. Of particular interest is the N11.9 billion special intervention reportedly approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for Osun State on August 30, 2024. The people are asking Governor Adeleke to give full disclosure of the expenditure coming from the special fund.

Similarly, the Adeleke administration should focus on how to tell the people how the N5 billion ecological fund received from the Federal Government in 2025 was appropriated.

The Ecological Fund is a portion of revenue from the Federation Account set aside to address environmental challenges such as flood and erosion. Since 2023, many residents of Osun State have faced severe environmental problems without any meaningful response from the state government. From Ilesa to Ikire, and from Osogbo to Ila, the situation remains the same---flood victims are left helpless and unattended. Why should victims of environmental challenges are left unsupported when the state government draws huge allocation from the federal government for the purpose?

In conclusion, we reiterate that there was no meeting---secret or otherwise---where decisions were made concerning candidates for the 2027 National or State Assembly elections. The claim is false, misleading and deliberately concocted to distract from the failures of the current administration as well as fanning embers of discord in our party.
The APC remains united, focused and resolute in its mission to reclaim Osun State and return it to the path of responsible governance.
