Osun 2026 Election: APC Attacks Governor Adeleke, Says Oyebamiji Will Restore State’s Lost Glory

In accordance with the directive of Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, that the campaign for the Osun State governorship election begins today, our esteemed members and ever dedicated numerous supporters statewide are enjoined to go about it with civility which is the hallmark of our party.

Today is remarkable in the political history of the state as it marks the statutory electoral process for the sacking of the satellite Governor Ademola Adeleke from the political theatre of the state through the forthcoming 15th August, 2026 governorship election.
We are not unaware of the numerous sufferings being foisted on the peace-loving people of this state by the incumbent Governor Adeleke exemplified by copious acts of misgovernance and policy somersaults traceable to the government -in-error that has turned our dear state into a political and administrative laboratory.

We want to assure the good people of the state that all is not perpetually lost to them as there have been concerted efforts by the government which driver would not be relishing in docility to return the lost glory of the state.

Our governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) with his running mate Aare(Engr) Benjamin Kayode Adereti have been crossing their t’s and dotting their i’s through sleepless nights in order to ensure that our state is not left behind among the comity of states making up the entity, Nigeria when they become statutory tenants in the Bola Ige House by the special grace of God in November.

We are not unaware of the poor showing of the Governor Adeleke-led administration in all the sectors like education, health, agriculture, provision of developmental projects, science and technology, environmental and sanitation, Finance, Economic Planning and Budget, Human Resources and Capacity Building, Information and Strategy, Justice, Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Regional Integration and Special Duties, Women Affairs and Child development, Works and Transport, Youths, Sports and Special Needs, Commerce, Cooperatives and Empowerment and all other spheres of life.

Experience for the past three years in our dear state has revealed that Governor Adeleke is a misfit in the public office and it is not his type that can provide the needed actions and inactions capable of propelling the state forward to be at par with the other developed states in this country as it is pretty difficult for someone to give what he does not possess.

All genuine lovers of this state should make it a point of duty to ensure that Governor Adeleke is shown the way out of the Bola Ige House through their golden votes on the 15th of August, 2026 as his exhibited best in the office is grossly insufficient to move the state forward.

We sympathise with Governor Adeleke who, by hook and crook means, violently snatched the key to the metaphorical vehicle of the state without having the least acumen to start its engine to talk less of moving it for over three years.

Governor Adeleke is a monumental failure in the government whose understanding of provision of developmental projects is the squandering of the common resources of the state to develop his home town of Ede where all the five roads leading to the entrances of his town have either been dualised or are undergoing rapid dualisation process at the expense of the other 28 local government council areas making up the state.

A governor that relishes in nepotism by populating his political functionaries with the members of his family and natives of his town as it’s the practice by Governor Adeleke is not what is desirable for the people of the state.

A governor who squandered over N600 million to rebuild the Sango Shrine in his home town when education, health sectors and others are crying for attention is definitely not suitable for our state which parades the highest number of urban centres among the comity of states in this country.

The litany of the anomalies of the Governor Adeleke administration is legendary which shall be continually exposed when our campaign begins in earnest.
