OSUN 2026: Ife APC leaders applaud Adereti’s emergence as deputy governorship candidate

....APC Leaders in Ife a appreciate President Bola Tinubu , Chief Bisi Akande, Hon.Minister Gboyega Oyetola and the winning candidate Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) over the choice of Engr. Benjamin Kayode Adereti as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of APC in Osun. 
 

Leaders and teeming stakeholders of APC in Ife Central Local Government, Ajebandele—Ile-Ife, rose from a well-attended solidarity meeting to express an unquantifiable appreciation to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT), and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State led by Chief Bisi Akande, the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, as well as the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), for the choice of their son and grassroots mobiliser, Engr Benjamin Kayode Adereti, as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the party for the forthcoming August 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.
In a statement commissioned and signed by the leaders on Saturday, they described the decision as a welcome development and an unmistakable statement about the recognition of the strategic role and contributions of Ife to the political growth and development of Osun State and Nigeria. 
The leaders noted that Engr Benjamin Adereti is an accomplished professional and committed party man whose loyalty and service to the party and the people have remained evident over the years, a distinction that earned him the highly contested ticket of Ife Federal Constituency of the APC during 2023 general elections. 
According to the leaders, the emergence of Engr. Adereti as Deputy Governorship Candidate is well deserved and a proud moment for the entire people of Ifeland. The leaders noted that Engr. Adereti is tested and trusted, describing him as a round peg that complements the already established intellectual capacity and well-rounded hole of the Gubernatorial Candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji. According to them, Engr. Adereti, who always proclaim and exhibit the fear of God in all he does, is strong, humble, focused and marketable from reputable families and royal compounds of the Ancient City of Ile-Ife. They further revealed that he is a young man who knows what he wants and how to go about achieving it. The leaders submitted that there is no iota of doubt that the young Engineer will prove to be an electoral asset and a veritable lieutenant to our indefatigable and highly cerebral Governorship Candidate during election and subsequent administration of AMBO in Osun State. 
The leaders, therefore, commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), Chief Bisi Akande, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Oyebamiji (AMBO) for the sterling leadership, inclusiveness and confidence that sought and achieved the choice of Engr. Adereti. 
The leaders expressed optimism that the AMBO–Adereti ticket will consolidate on the Renewed Hope of PBAT, while discharging purposeful leadership and accelerated development to the good people of Osun State. Unlike the inexperienced characters currently occupying Government House in the State, they described the two APC gentlemen as precocious individuals with good and verifiable educational backgrounds, family values and profound working, vocational, and professional certifications, particularly about Asiwaju Bola Munirudeen Oyebamiji whose competence and certified experience as a finance expert has once proved handy in the State. The leaders insisted that governance is a serious business that requires Osun State to field its bests, as clearly reflected in AMBO–Adereti ticket. 
The leaders assured the party leaders and good people of Osun State that members of APC in Ife Central Local Government will work closely with Engr. Adereti and the leadership of APC across Ifeland and Osun State to strengthen the victory at the polls and bring an end to the lacklustre, manipulative, grossly incompetent and manifestly confused administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke come 15th August, 2026.
