AMBO Media Alleges Plot to Use Osun Security Trust Fund for Adeleke’s Re-Election Campaign

The AMBO Media Fronts raises serious concerns over emerging moves by the แปŒsun State Government under the leadership of Ademola Adeleke to push a Security Trust Fund initiative at a time when transparency and public confidence are already under strain.

We have it on reliable authority that the proposed แปŒsun State Security Trust Fund is intended to raise campaign funds for the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke. The intention, contrary to public claims, is not genuinely for security.

Governor Adeleke appears desperate to raise election funds, having lost the opportunity to control local government allocations, which are now firmly in the custody of APC-led officials at the local government level.

The แปŒsun treasury has been heavily depleted, and the government appears reluctant to draw from the limited resources available, especially as anti-graft agencies---particularly the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)---have intensified scrutiny on the state.

The EFCC is reportedly investigating the state over alleged fraud involving the N11.9 billion ecological fund allocated in 2025 by the federal government under Bola Tinubu.
The Commission is also said to be probing the state government over the alleged diversion of Universal Basic Education funds received from the federal government since 2023.

The AMBO Media Fronts is further aware of an investigation involving the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, whose company, Akinkas Interbiz Limited, is reportedly being investigated over alleged contract irregularities linked to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).

The people of แปŒsun and well-meaning corporate organisations should be wary of donating their hard-earned resources to this so-called security initiative, as the Adeleke administration has demonstrated a pattern of diverting funds meant for public use.
