ILESA WEST CHAIRMAN DISBURSES CASH GRANTS TO 1,500 RESIDENTS
The Chairman of Ilesa West Local Government Area, Hon. Olusegun Olabode, has disbursed cash grants ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦100,000 to about 1,500 beneficiaries as part of a poverty alleviation initiative in Osun State.
The beneficiaries, drawn from different segments of the community, included artisans, members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW),Market women,traders , elderly men and women, persons living with disabilities, and selected party members.
The programme is aimed at easing economic hardship and supporting small-scale livelihoods at the grassroots level.
The initiative forms part of a broader intervention by the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the state to improve the welfare of citizens and promote economic inclusion.
Speaking during the distribution, Hon. Olabode expressed appreciation to the APC for the opportunity to serve the people. He urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds to enhance their businesses and personal well-being, while reaffirming his commitment to sustaining and expanding similar programmes.
He also called on residents to remain supportive of the party’s vision, particularly the emergence of Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as the next governor of the state.
In his remarks, Hon. Tobiloba Famurewa, Ilesa West LCDA Chairman commended the people for their continued support for the APC and encouraged them to promote the party’s achievements and developmental agenda.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful, and pledged their continued support for the APC.
