Your Campaign Of Calumny Against Oke, Our Governorship Election D-G, Won't Prevent Your Imminent Defeat- Osun APC Slams Adeleke, Accord Party

PRESS STATEMENT.                                                 (9TH APRIL, 2026).

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the needless denigration of the appointment of Honourable Wole Oke as the Director-General of the Campaign Committee of its governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji AMBO, by the inconsequential, unpopular and relatively unknown state chapter of the Accord Party, describing it as a product of fear of the imminent loss of  the 15th  August, 2026 governorship election by the incumbent Governor Adeleke.

The tone of the response of the state chapter of the Accord Party showed that the stakeholders of the party were pained by the Oke appointment which has put a final spanner into the second term aspiration of Governor Adeleke who is facing the worst political battle of his life.

We are not unaware of the fact that it is only when an aspiration is beyond the reach of a human being that he would resort to a self-consolatory statement that there's nothing that one eats in this world that is not capable of being exhausted.

It is disheartening that the leadership of the obscured and cryptic Accord Party in Osun State could resort to the unsubstantiated character assassination of the upwardly mobile and political colossus whose influence transcends the state based on his past and present unbeatable records exemplified by his identifiable attribute of being one of the longest serving federal lawmakers in Nigeria today.

There is no record whether now or in the past of tracing the political trajectory of the Esa-Oke-born federal lawmaker with candour to hinging his outstanding immeasurable achievements to any uncle or brother or relation, making him a self-made man unlike a perpetual satellite being who has no history of accomplishments through self efforts.

Going through the tirade that oozed out from the devilish fingers of the Osun State chapter of the Accord Party, it would not be difficult for discerning minds to instantly observe and conclude that the misplaced hogwash against Oke was a product of envy and rivalry which was orchestrated by those who could never match his political records in all ramifications in their journey of life.

For how long will it take those thinking for Governor Adeleke that the path he is following politically is perfidious, unproductive and uneventful without any hope of achieving any tangible thing to retain his governorship political seat beyond 2026?

It is high time Adeleke was told that the metaphorical river hosting his proverbial fishes have irredeemably gone dry and that the retinue of his supporters who are still milling round him are doing so because of the availability of the dirty crumbs falling off his table.

It is not an overstatement to observe that it was the day Oke defected from the state chapter of the PDP that the symbol of the party got torn into shreds as information has it that the federal lawmaker was one of the vertebral columns of the concerted efforts of those who made it possible for Governor Adeleke to be in government today.

It was also in the public domain how it was the same Oke that Adeleke and the Accord Party are needlessly disparaging today who purchased the governorship nomination form for Governor Adeleke in 2022 in order to show the depth of his loyalty and unwavering support for the cause which he believed in then.

A brief research on Hon Oke showed that he did not sit for an O'level General Certificate of Education examination at 65; he is sufficiently educated and endowed with memorable, transformative, exceptional and impactful cognate working experience in both private and public life and that it is not recorded against him that he once jumped bail anywhere and reappeared later to contest an election.

Must you blame us if through greed of some people at the top in your party, in government and outside the government, we have successfully harvested all the resourceful and dependable entities in your party who defected to our party in droves among who is Oke, the workaholic and pragmatic campaign D-G of AMBO?
