Massive Turnout as Ijesa South APC Holds Walk for Victory in support of AMBO in Ilesa
Ijesa South APC staged a major show of strength as thousands of party members turned out for a Walk for Victory in support of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), the party’s candidate for the August 15th, 2026 Osun State Gubernatorial Election.
The mobilization walk covered Ilesa East and Ilesa West Local Governments. It began at Oke Omiru, Isokun and moved through key streets, markets, and residential areas in Ilesa. From early morning, ward executives, women leaders, youth leaders, and grassroots supporters gathered in large numbers, turning the exercise into one of the biggest political mobilizations in the area.
Participants marched in organized ward blocs, carrying banners, placards, and APC flags. Drumming, solidarity songs, and chants of “AMBO 2026” drew attention from traders and residents along the route. The turnout cut across age groups, with young people, market women, and community elders walking together. For many, the walk was both a show of loyalty and a direct outreach to undecided voters.
Addressing the crowd at the convergence point, APC leaders said the turnout confirmed that the grassroots base is active and ready for the election. They highlighted AMBO’s experience in public finance and investment, noting his tenure at the Osun State Investment Company and the National Inland Waterways Authority as proof of capacity to manage Osun’s resources and attract investors.
Leaders urged members to move from public mobilization to door-to-door engagement using the “One Person, Bring Two” model. Every member is expected to bring at least two registered voters committed to voting for AMBO.
Prominent party leaders present at the walk for Victory include senator Adenigba Fadahunsi, Hon Sanya Omirin, Engr. Remi Omowaiye, Hon.Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni (Fmhr) Hon.Olabode Oluwasegun (Shigopapa), alongside House of Assembly Candidates and supporters who showcased branded campaign vehicles in support of the party's movement.
